Year after year always more people choose Bormio as a place to have a relaxing stay, to enjoy some peace and quiet and, at the same time, to have some fun, to go trekking and hiking and to set their eyes on a charming view, to breathe pure air, to make tranquillity and wellness the cornerstone of life.

The others choose Bormio and our cosy Baita Fanti Ski & Bike for similar reasons, but their passion and their objectives have grown considerably, so that now they go beyond their own personal limits. We are talking about sportsmen, groups and sport associations that come to Alta Valtellina all year round, depending on the sport they practise.

Thus, it will be possible to see skiing clubs, teams and professional sportsmen training and refining their techniques on the slopes of Bormio, among which legendary Stelvio, the slope that has an honor to host the Ski World Cup every year.

Thus, with the technology that is always aiming at improving our everyday life, cableways, slopes and materials used have been gradually improving, and now offer different possibilities to practise sport that would suit everyone. So, not only professionals who want to improve their technical level, but also many enthusiast sportsmen come here in summer to test their own abilities, as well as those who just love sport and open air. It is not necessary to be world champions, even children can have fun on the slopes of Bormio2000 and Bormio3000 (respectively 2000 and 3000 metres altitude), and learn the techniques that maybe one day will make them real sportsmen… Who knows!

Bormio is a dreamland for cyclists: it is a temptation that fans of Giro d’Italia just can’t resist: to try the most famous routes of Valtellina out, among which Passo dello Stelvio, Gavia and Mortirolo, to cycle in a team, group, to train or just to enjoy. And then, when you practise sport, the two things usually go side by side. We are waiting for you!
